All youth and young adults, ages 13-30. Plus chaperones. There must be one adult chaperone for every one to seven youth under the age of 18. Chaperones have to be age 21 and over (your best friend doesn’t count). It’s your parent/guardian’s responsibility to assign you a chaperone. Chaperones must arrive with, attend, and stay with you during the retreat. All chaperones and volunteers must fulfill — and be in compliance with — their diocesan policies and requirements for providing a safe and secure environment for minors. Chaperones must have completed any Diocesan required training and have a current criminal background check. Chaperones also have to provide a letter from their parish or diocese confirming their compliance with diocesan policies and procedures. YOUTH 2000 Memphis goes down at St. Benedict High School, 8250 Varnavas Drive, Cordova TN, 38016. Click here for a map.

Click here to go to the Register Now page, where you’ll find all the forms you need. All participants, including chaperones, must complete the liablity release form. All forms for participants age 17 and younger must be signed by a parent or legal guardian, and must be completed in advance of the weekend. We encourage you to pre-register. If you wait to register at the door, you must bring the liability release and registration forms, signed by a parent or legal guardian. Please understand we can only let you in if there’s space available (did we mention you should pre-register?). Return your completed registration forms by April 4, 2008. The registration fee is $40 per person. Additional donations to help offset our costs are gratefully accepted, of course.

We’ve gotcha covered on Saturday — some snacks, lunch, dinner, and drinks are included in your registration fee. Our only rule: you have to eat on site on Saturday — no running off to eat fast food or anything. Your meals on Friday and Sunday are up to you.

YOUTH 2000 isn’t a lock-in or sleepover, so you’ll need to arrange overnight accommodations (and transportation) on your own. Please note: YOUTH 2000, the Diocese of Memphis, and St. Benedict High School are not responsible for housing or for any overnight accommocations. However, the Diocese of Memphis has negotiated rates for you at some nearby hotels. Our insurance doesn’t cover you when you’re off site, so just check these places out and make your own responsible decision about where you wanna lay your spirtually swimming head:
